Alex Bertola is a French composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist whose music blends cinematic depth with modern production, creating immersive, emotional, and powerful soundscapes. He has scored national French TV documentaries before moving to the United States. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, he is also a recipient of the Georges Delerue Merit Award.
Born in Paris, he grew up in a culturally rich environment and began studying classical and jazz piano at the age of five before expanding into guitar, rock, and metal. His early passion for both music and cinema naturally led him toward storytelling through sound.
He has composed for national French television, scoring documentaries for major networks including France TV and Paris Première. Notably, he scored a critically acclaimed prime-time retrospective on the life and career of Bruce Willis, crafting a soundtrack inspired by the atmosphere and legacy of the actor’s four-decade filmography.
Shaped by classical influences as well as jazz, rock, pop, and world music, Alex writes music that fuses orchestral depth with contemporary production. His dual European-American background plays a central role in defining his musical identity, and his production and mixing expertise enables him to deliver polished, film-quality results.
Today, Alex is based in Los Angeles, where he runs his company, Alex Bertola Music LLC, developing collaborations for television and streaming platforms. His core intention is to connect directly with visual storytellers and help bring their vision to life through original scoring.
